About Us
The San Joaquin River Flood Control Project Agency is a joint powers authority formed to lead the Regional Flood Management Plan (RFMP) and represent local interests. The Agency is composed of the Lower San Joaquin Levee District and the San Joaquin River Exchange Contractors Water Authority, with auditor/controller services provided by Merced County.
Latest Update
On August 4, 2023, Governor Newsom signed Executive Order (EO) N-10-23 to prepare for the next wet season and recover from the 2022-23 winter storms. Additional information and a link to the EO are available here.
On December 16, 2022, the Central Valley Flood Protection Board adopted the 2022 Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) Update. The final plan, comment logs, and errata are available on DWR's website.

USJR Finance Chapter Update to the 2015 RFMP – DRAFT

The USJR RFMP team has prepared a draft update to the finance chapter of the 2015 regional flood management plan (RFMP). This update gives an overview of the USJR region’s unique financial considerations, provides an updated resource on potential funding sources and strategies, and recommends actions that can strengthen the region’s funding potential for needed flood management improvements.
The RFMP team invites interested parties to review the draft and provide comments/feedback to [email protected] by August 18, 2023.
