DWR’s FY 2024-2025 Flood Maintenance Assistance Program (FMAP)

DWR has released a proposal solicitation package (PSP) and guidelines for the FY24-25 FMAP funding opportunity. Due to file size, please request the guidelines from [email protected].

LMAs with State Plan of Flood Control (SPFC) levees are eligible with: (1) current compliance or a commitment to compliance, (2) existing SWIF or LOI or a commitment to develop these documents, (3) a new assurance agreement with CVFPB, and (4) meeting all DWR flood reporting requirements.

Eligible O&M activities/costs for this program include: (1) gravel for access roads and levee crown, (2) rock slope protection (RSP) for minor embankment repairs, (3) minor seepage control repairs, (4) minor stability repairs, (5) vegetation management, (6) rodent abatement, (7) flood control structure/facilities upgrades, and (8) gates/fencing maintenance.

The due date for all proposals is July 31, 2024.

  • California’s Financing Coordinating Committee (CFCC)
    • The CFCC combines the resources of four State and two Federal funding agencies to provide a one-stop shop for available grants, loans and bond financing for infrastructure projects. CFCC conducts free funding fairs statewide each year to educate the public and offer potential customers the opportunity to meet with financial representatives from each agency and learn more about their currently available funding programs.

About Us

The San Joaquin River Flood Control Project Agency is a joint powers authority formed to lead the Regional Flood Management Plan (RFMP) and represent local interests. The Agency is composed of the Lower San Joaquin Levee District and the San Joaquin River Exchange Contractors Water Authority, with auditor/controller services provided by Merced County.
