San Joaquin RFMPs Stakeholder Meeting – May 24, 2023

The USJR region is co-hosting a meeting with the Lower San Joaquin and Mid-San Joaquin RFMP regions on May 24th at 1:30pm. David Rizzardo, manager of the Hydrology Section in DWR’s Hydrology and Flood Operations Branch (HAFOO) will present forecasts for snowmelt from the Sierras over the next few months, and its implications for reservoir operations and downstream flow levels. About Us

The San Joaquin River Flood Control Project Agency is a joint powers authority formed to lead the Regional Flood Management Plan (RFMP) and represent local interests. The Agency is composed of the Lower San Joaquin Levee District and the San Joaquin River Exchange Contractors Water Authority, with auditor/controller services provided by Merced County.

Latest Update

On April 17, 2024, USJR RFMP hosted a stakeholder workshop at Henry Miller Reclamation District. To view the presentation and meeting notes, please visit Meetings.

On December 16, 2022, the Central Valley Flood Protection Board adopted the 2022 Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) Update. The final plan, comment logs, and errata are available on DWR's website.
