The USJR RFMP team has released a draft white paper on USJR regional governance opportunities for flood management agencies. This white paper describes several opportunities for improved regional governance and developing organizational structures so that agencies in the USJR region that have flood management responsibilities can effectively engage in flood risk management, conduct regular operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, and secure consistent needed funding. About Us

The San Joaquin River Flood Control Project Agency is a joint powers authority formed to lead the Regional Flood Management Plan (RFMP) and represent local interests. The Agency is composed of the Lower San Joaquin Levee District and the San Joaquin River Exchange Contractors Water Authority, with auditor/controller services provided by Merced County.

Latest Update

On April 17, 2024, USJR RFMP hosted a stakeholder workshop at Henry Miller Reclamation District. To view the presentation and meeting notes, please visit Meetings.

On December 16, 2022, the Central Valley Flood Protection Board adopted the 2022 Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) Update. The final plan, comment logs, and errata are available on DWR's website.
