Application Period Now Open for Small Communities Flood Risk Reduction Program

The California Department of Water Resources has commenced the 45-day application period for Phase I of the Small Communities Flood Risk Reduction (SCFRR) Program. Eligible communities must submit an application no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2.   Please submit applications via email to [email protected] or send via mail to the following address:   California Department of Water Resources Attention: Nahideh Madankar Division of Flood Management O. Box 942836, Sacramento, CA 94236-0001   All applications must be consistent with the final SCFRR Guidelines and Project Solicitation Package.  Both documents can be found online here. About Us

The San Joaquin River Flood Control Project Agency is a joint powers authority formed to lead the Regional Flood Management Plan (RFMP) and represent local interests. The Agency is composed of the Lower San Joaquin Levee District and the San Joaquin River Exchange Contractors Water Authority, with auditor/controller services provided by Merced County.

On December 16, 2022, the Central Valley Flood Protection Board adopted the 2022 Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) Update. The final plan, comment logs, and errata are available on DWR's website.
